This is an awesome idea for an app. I love that you can take a picture of something and set the alarm so that it wont turn off until you have taken a matching picture. This has successfully gotten me out of bed many times. However, the pictures never match. I cannot seem to be able to ever take a picture that matches the one I have selected, no matter how simple the picture. This is extremely frustrating as I am forced to delete the app nearly every morning to get the alarm to turn off.

I just had to change my 5-star review from version 1 to a 1-star review. The new version is terrible and unusable. My alarm was going off for five minutes before I just deleted the app this morning because I couldnt get it to turn off. I wish I could revert to version 2. I was a beta tester for v2 so Im very sad to see where the app has gone.

The concept of Alarmy is great, and prior to the 3.0 release, it was the only alarm that would actually get me out of bed. But the 3.0 release introduced some big problems, and the 3.01 release made them worse. As of 3.01, the camera only takes blank, black pictures. Consequently, the only way to turn off the alarm is to delete the app. As of 3.0, the camera forces you to use the phones flash, and does not allow you to disable it. So if your reference picture was not taken using the flash, as mine was not, the only way to get the picture to match is to try to use your finger to cover up the flash but not the camera. A few new features have been introduced with no explanation of what they do, and no way to find out. What is power saving mode? What is headphone mode? I will probably never know.

The app is very ugly, and its necessary to shake the iPhone too much for the app to recognize the shakes. Therefore, its too difficult and irritating to turn the alarm off. On the other hand, the photo feature works well for me.

Used to be a great app, now it doesnt work anymore (since the last update). No reaction when shaking the iPhone, so its impossible to turn off alarm.

Enabling "do not disturb" will stop the alarm from working. Im too crafty whilst half asleep...

It will definitely keep you up but there are three problems I had: 1. When you try and take a picture to turn off the alarm, the camera dismisses after a few seconds. I guess this is so that you dont pretend to take a picture to mute the alarm but its incredibly frustrating since you need to take an accurate picture to turn the alarm off. 2. The picture needs to be too accurate. When I was awake and tested it, I had no trouble turning the alarm off with a picture but when I tried it after just being awoken it took 7 unsuccessful tries (9 if you count the camera dismissing itself) and turning off my phone to turn it off. Which leads me to... 3. If you turn your phone off, when you turn it back on youre barraged with an endless stream of notifications until you close the application. So yeah, its a great idea but theyre are too many problems for me to use it daily. I actually regret paying for it tbh. I hope to see an update soon so I can eat my words.

Apart from the fact that the photo detection doesnt work too perfectly (i had to retake the photo like 5 times until the alarm accepted it) which led to everyone in the house being awake, not just me, this app is actually pretty good. You probably dont want this though if youre not living alone. I really would appreciate you guys to implement a function that increases the alarm volume over time instead of just setting a fixed volume.

Dont matter how lazy you are, this will wake you up. You can use several methods and change them as they lose effectivity.

I like that it continues for so long. Most other apps stop after 3 times. More specific instructions would be helpful (If they are there I apologize. I havent found them yet) I find that the default is great to turn off. I just needed an alarm that wouldnt quit on me to WAKE me up. Once Im up Im good. Great Idea. Thank you!

Amazing app. The photo option for disabling the alarm is ideal for someone who just cant get out of bed in the morning. Reasonably priced too!

Stay on time in the morning with No more snoozing. Get up and take a photo or shake the alarm to shut of off.

Well, it woke me up, I guess, but its impossible to turn these alarms off. I spent twenty minutes trying to take a photograph, which didnt work so the only way to turn off the alarm is to uninstall the app. I tried again with the shaking method and it is completely unresponsive. Complete waste of money.
